I really, really, really love Sid & Aya: Not a Love Story. I saw the trailer and I knew I was going to like it. I saw that it was written and directed by Irene Emma Villamor and that sealed the deal for me. I loved Meet Me in St. Gallen and Camp Sawi. There was no question that this movie was going to be good.
I just didn’t realize it was going to be so great.
Read my review here: If I were a gambler, I’d bet on ‘Sid & Aya: Not a Love Story’ (ClickTheCity).
And I’m so happy for Anne Curtis. Finally, a director gives her a role that shows off her range and her talent. She always gets these cutesy roles that don’t show her full range. Here’s something that really gives her room to flex her acting muscles.
The movie is smart and mature and daring and honest. It makes you go through a range of emotions as it unfolds and it never goes easy.
It’s so good. I’m so happy to have seen it. I hope it does really, really well so that more people follow suit.
