‘Maze Runner: The Death Cure’ is epic for epic’s sake (ClickTheCity)

I’ve actually seen the first two previous installments of the Maze Runner saga. I actually liked Maze Runner except for its horribly executed ending. I remember seeing Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials twice and liking it the second time. This third installment, though, is just too much and suffers from having been shown way too long since the second part that none of its dramatic moments is retained and so flounders as it plays out in the third.

Read my review here: ‘Maze Runner: The Death Cure’ is epic for epic’s sake (ClickTheCity).

I like the actors in it, though. Dylan O’Brien is promising, Ki Hong Lee is magnetic, Patricia Clarkson is always wonderful, Aiden Gillen can do no wrong (especially as a villain) but the film doesn’t really stand up on its own legs.

It’s sad. It looks really expensive but it’s not really very good. Maybe it will find its legs on streaming when you can watch it right after a marathon of the first two parts. The movie, I guess, made money for it to reach a third part so there is a market for it. I just don’t think it’s any good.
