The second season of The Crown is as thrilling as the first season. It’s as elegant and superbly-written and wonderfully acted. It’s filled with such humanity but, at the same time, it is wrought with context of history and world politics. It’s enlightening as much as it is artful. It’s one of my favorite shows, really.
Read my review here: ‘The Crown’ continues to shine on its second season (InterAksyon).
I can’t believe we won’t be seeing Claire Foy in the role in the next season. She has been so central to this show’s success. There’s so much that she telegraphs through her body language, her eyes, the tone of her voice. I really can’t imagine it with a different cast but I think that’s where they are going with this show.
I will still watch it and I hope the new actress matches Claire Foy every step of the way.
