So, Juice is closing shop.
The website I’ve been writing for since 2012 is done. It’s ran its course and the backers, I think, are planning on heading on a new direction. I was told ahead of time but now that it’s happening, I feel a little sad. This was a place for me to put out my reviews and other articles and I don’t have outlet anymore.
I joined in 2012 and I have been very prolific, in a way, and it kind of gave me a solid routine that I could really look forward in a week. I checked the latest movies coming up on Wednesday and planning my schedule around one or two big openings and writing about it.

I wonder what’s going to happen to all the articles I put up there? I started asking so I know if I have to re-link all my reviews or if their going to stay up. I’m going to have a spend a whole day just working on the new links if the storage site address is different from the current links. That’s going to be a lot of work.
With the closing of Juice, I’m a free agent again when it comes to writing for websites. I wonder what other site I could write for and make some decent money while I’m at it. Juice, at least, was reliable and they paid me on time. I’m very, very thankful to them for the past four years. I made it through some rough patches because I had an outlet for my writing, for my thoughts on movies and theatre, and I had a sort of stable job in the sense that I had income I could depend on.
So while I wait for word on what happens to the site and what happens afterwards and where I can end up writing for in the near future, I’ll probably spend some time looking at my old articles and reviews and see the body of work I’ve managed to put together.
Thank you, Juice, and to all the wonderful editors and staffers who have kept the site running. Much, much appreciated!
