Review for We Are Your Friends (Juice.ph)

I was able to catch the Zac Efron DJ movie We Are Your Friends and I was pleasantly surprised. I mean, I would have watched it anyway because it’s Zac Efron. **swoon** But I’m a little wary of how Hollywood decides to portray the world of the DJ and electronic dance music. I think one of my favourite movies that involved DJs and club culture was an indie film called Groove back in 2000.

But this movie was a very pleasant surprise. Hit me in all the right spots and I liked how it showed me the details of putting an electronic dance song together. I go crazy over that sort of thing.

I also got to publish another article that I wrote. This one is about the local theatre scene as Stages is producing a new original jukebox musical called Chuva Choo Choo. It’s a jukebox musical featuring the songs of Filipino hit-maker Vehnee Saturno.

You can read my article on that here: Much Ado About Chuva Choo Choo (Manila Bulletin / Link)
