No Filter: The Press Con

Yesterday, at Privato Hotel, we held our press con for No Filter: Let’s Talk About Me. Six of our cast of eight (there are 3 roles with alternates) were there and the whole Sandbox Collective team was there working their butts off to make sure everything just went exactly how we wanted it and while there were a few slip ups during rehearsal, everything went really smoothly during the press conference itself.

We are more than excited now — and scared too — because at this point, it gets real. The show is out there and we are forced to good, at this point.

There’s still so much work to be done but we’ve got a great team working on this and our cast is amazing and as the script is being fleshed out on a totally new set of revisions, we are seeing the play for exactly what it is and we are getting so stoked and — using the words of our director, Toff de Venecia — galvanised to getting this material out there.

These are the first few articles that have come out about our show from the press con:

So it’s real… and more real than real. And now people are hearing about us more and more and the initial reaction and response is favourable and people are interested and so we’ve got a lot of work ahead of us but everything is just so much fun and enjoyable and all of a sudden, all the late night sleeping and working just seems so right because this now feels bigger than us. And every little thing every one does counts into making this show bigger and better and just what it is supposed to be.
