I’m really not. Entourage is pretty much the only film that was showing in the cinemas and I needed to go out and review something and just not be in front of my computer. So I invited my friend Cez to go and watch (or did she invite me?) and we saw it over the weekend.
This is what I thought: Entourage: I’m Not Bro Enough for This Film.
Maybe I am not the target market. Entourage has always been about four friends right smack dab in the middle of Hollywood. It’s about idealising Hollywood in the eyes of the bro — expensive cars, wild parties, women — and that’s just not my thing. It’s not what makes Hollywood interesting to me. I’m more interested in making movies, in the making of the movie, and not what happens in-between.
Okay, so it’s not really about Hollywood, it’s about friendship and people but I don’t like them as characters. I don’t like them as people. So I really couldn’t hold on to anything and enjoy this film. But the show lasted for eight seasons and I hear the movie is doing really well, so what do I know?
They didn’t make this movie for me.
