#NoFilter (coming in July)

So we are releasing teasers of a project I’m working on with The Sandbox Collective. It’s an exciting project for me because it will be my first foray into professional theater and I’ll be working on my first theatrical piece. I’m not writing it, per se, but I’ve been tapped to help curate the material and contribute a little bit of something to it, and I’m helping my good friend, Toff De Venecia, who is directing the play, as a Dramaturg.

Here’s the teaser:

I’m really excited to be a part of this. At first, I was a little skeptical about the concept but I said “yes” because I wanted to do theater work and I wanted to work with Toff. I was so scared because I have never done any Dramaturgy work before but Toff was confident in me that I would be able to learn on the job and that what I know and what I could contribute to the material would be helpful and beneficial to the production.

I hope he’s right. I’m going to do my best to be invaluable and to do my share and more.

I’m working with a great team and as we are putting everything together and getting the project off the ground, I am starting to see the concept for what it is, and the quality of the work that’s coming in has lead me to believe in the project and not just in the work that I’m going to do.

I really want to see this project materialise now and I’m so excited that I’m going to be a part of it.

I’ll be able to talk more about this and in more detail very soon; but let me tell you now, it’s going to be different. And I’m so excited and the moment we can start talking about things in more detail, I will.

So for those in Manila, please save a day in one of the last weekends of July for us. It’s coming. I’m excited.
