Review of Focus and an article on The Thinking Man’s Classroom

Been catching movies again lately, now that Arts Month is done and Fringe is over and I am not rushing to another show (though, to be honest, I have a play to watch every day of this weekend starting tomorrow).

I was able to catch Focus yesterday and I thought it was a pretty solid caper film that was actually a misdirection for the love story that hid right beneath. You can read my review of Focus here:

Focus: What Lies Beneath

Focus is a great showcase of Margot Robbie, who easily shows off that she is more than a gorgeous face; she's very, very talented and I can't wait to see her grow as an actress (and of course, I need to put a picture of the always magnificent (and magnificent-looking) Rodrigo Santoro... just because)

Margot Robbie is magnificent. I was already so impressed with her in The Wolf of Wall Street and, in Focus, she’s extraordinary, stealing all the scenes that she is in and making this movie all about her. It’s incredible and I can’t wait to see what else she will do in the future.

I also wrote about The Thinking Man’s Classroom, an online channel conceptualised and produced by spoken word artist Kooky Tuason. Read my article on the new online channel here:

Get Schooled: The Thinking Man’s Classroom

Just a little note: catch the third and fourth episode of one of their shows Principals of Principle if you want to see me discuss some topics with the group from the show. Principals of Principle is a discussion/talk show with six hosts of different backgrounds and they discuss a topic for around 30 minutes. I was asked to substitute for one of their regular hosts, Niccolo Cosme, for episode 3 and episode 4.

So if you want to see me online and discussing with these cool guys, then catch the third episode of Principals of Principle next Monday (March 9) and the fourth episode the following Monday (March 10).
