“To This Day” by Shane Koyczan (TED Talks)

Poetry + Performance + Personal Insight and Recollections + Arresting Visuals + Haunting Live Music Accompaniment + Right Balance of Restraint and Verve = One of the most beautiful TED talks I have seen.

My brother tagged me on a post on Facebook that had a link to this TED Talk video. I was surprised because I didn’t think it was something my brother would go and actively watch. I don’t know how he came across it but I’m glad he did. I’m glad he tagged me in it. It is so powerful and moving and I am delighted to see that a poet was asked to give a TED talk and to recite one of his poems.

I don’t know this poet. I’ve never heard of Shane Koyczan before but now I am aware and I will be watching out for him. What a powerful sense of spirit and an elegant command of language. I am really blown away by this.
