My friend Sandy organises bazaars as one of the many things she does. And with the recent Typhoon Haiyan (Yolanda) tragedy that befell the Visayas region of the country, with over one million and a half of people who have lost everything, she is continuing to try and raise money for those displaced in the best way she knows how: to organise a bazaar.
On November 29 and November 30 at the A. Venue’s open parking space, she is holding Bazaar Pilipinas: Bangon Visayas. It’s a charity bazaar and a concert. She has gathered over thirty tents of concessionaires selling various items from vintage/pre-loved to branded accessories, apparel, decors, toys, books, furniture, comics, paintings, etc. You name it, there’s a huge possibility it will be there.
There will be bands playing as well; so if you aren’t much of a shopper, there are bands who will be playing some live music. All the proceeds are going to the Philippine Red Cross who are on top of the relief effort for the victims of Typhoon Haiyan (Yolanda).
If you are in the area, wondering what to get for your Christmas parties or give-aways, or just want to spend the weekend in a space filled with energy, give this a shot.
And tell your friends. It’s what the Christmas season is about.
