Screenings for Sineng Pambansa

The Sineng Pambansa film festival will be screened in all SM Cinemas on September 11 to September 17. SM Cinema has been gracious enough to dedicate all their cinemas to these films, directed by the masters of the Philippine film industry. Not only will they not show any other film in their cinemas on that week, they are also giving a discounted price for the ticket and you can watch these films for one hundred pesos only. Not bad, if you ask me. Support Filipino films, that’s what I say.

A huge, huge round of applause for SM Cinemas for truly supporting Filipino films. They have my eternal gratitude for this.

I’m a little scared, though, because there is very little information being released about the actual screening time and dates but this information was released recently by the Film Development Council of the Philippines and you can find the screening date (if not time) of each of the films on the line-up.

Please check this link for screening schedules of the films in Sineng Pambansa. There are no screening hours just yet, but I suppose the theater is dedicated to that movie for the whole day. So, please check this list for a comprehensive list of all SM Cinemas nationwide and the days where each film will be showing.

Additionally, I will be putting down the screening dates of Sonata here for easy reading. Thank you for the indulgence. This is my first film and I would so love it if you can come and watch.

See you at the cinema!

  2. I’m living in Canada and would like to watch “Sonata.” Is it available on DVD or can I download it online even if I have to pay? I’ve seen the trailer and read great reviews about it. I would appreciate your response. Thank you!

    • Hi Phil!

Thank you so much for the interest. We are currently still in the process of putting the DVD together. The moment it becomes available, I’ll make sure you find out and that we can get a copy to you.

Thank you so much and I’m so happy to know that word of our movie made it all the way to you in Canada. 😀

      • Thank you so much for your immediate response. I really appreciate it and will look forward to seeing that great masterpiece. I hope there would be more world class Filipino films created in the future like “Sonata.” Congratulations to all those people behind this film!
