Fun & Unpretentious: a review of Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters

I’m overjoyed. For many reasons. First of all, I’m now officially a Juice blogger. Yup! As of yesterday, I’ve just been officially named a regular blogger of Juice and I’m so stoked about it. I’ve been contributing for them since June of last year and I love working for them and it seems that they enjoy working with me as well. They say that I’ve been getting decent hits on my film reviews and it is enough reason to make me a regular blogger. Yay!

My first “blog entry” as a Juice blogger, and no longer as just a contributing writer, is my review of Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters. This was an absolute surprise of a film because I was expecting to hate this movie. I hated Abraham Lincoln Vampire Slayer and thought all these twisted fairy-tales was getting out of hand. So, I came into the theater prepared to rip them a new one and lo and behold! I actually enjoyed myself a whole lot.

"And my name is Gretel"; Gemma Arterton as Gretel, bad-ass and foul-mouthed and lovely as all hell

So, I’m quite excited for this new development. It’s like being a columnist, really, but in Internet jargon, you call them a blogger. I’m so stoked.

A huge shout out to my Juice family who has made writing reviews fun and enjoyable. To more fantastic movies to come and greater things in the horizon for the website and for the cinema!
